Washington State PTA and nearly 200 organizations endorse 1098

See the organizations and endorse as a citizen:

The Yes on 1098 campaign received our newest endorsements from the Washington State Parent Teacher Association (PTA)1 and the Greater Seattle Business Association.2 These organizations join Bill Gates Sr. and our growing coalition of business, civic, labor, and religious leaders who support I-1098's measured plan to reform Washington's unfair tax system.

But just as critical is the support of you and citizens all around the state who want to be a part of the effort to cut taxes for small businesses and the middle class, while providing stable, dedicated funding for education and healthcare by taxing the wealthiest 1.2%.

That is why today we are asking you to endorse the campaign. Please click and share the link below to add your name to our growing list of citizen endorsers who support 1098!

Scott Allen, President of the Washington State PTA commented on the need to pass 1098. "We need to do what is right for our children and for Washington's future.  Over the last two decades, Washington has fallen further and further behind other states when it comes to funding education and supporting reform efforts. We can't let Washington continue to fall behind in getting our kids what they need to be successful in school and in life. I-1098 will move us forward towards providing funding for the quality education our kids deserve"

Add your voice of support for Scott and the State PTA by clicking on the link below and becoming a citizen endorser of Yes on 1098. And please forward this email to your friends and family to help us build our strong grassroots campaign to win in November.

1098 will help WA even more than we thought

We have some very good news to report. The Office of Financial of Management (OFM), the independent nonpartisan agency that reports on the impacts of legislation and ballot initiatives, announced last week that 1098 will raise more money and affect fewer tax payers with a new income tax on the wealthy.1

The OFM has now determined that the income tax provisions in I-1098 will raise $2 billion per year and only affect 1.2% of the population. That means more money dedicated for education and healthcare.

With only 78 days until the election, our job is to make sure every Washingtonian knows about the benefits of 1098. Please join the postcard campaign and secure the pledge of 10 of your friends and family to support 1098:

With your support we know we can overcome the efforts by former Bush Administration staffers to mislead Washingtonians about 1098. Please recommit your support by joining the postcard campaign:
